He has always been a slow speaker, but I'm happy that he's finally starting to speak a few words.
Is it okay to still provide input at this stage?
I also like picture books, so is it okay to read them to my child?

The main focus is on SP initiatives.
My older child plays speakers while the lights are on (about 4 hours a day), and when I turn off the lights, I play the CD of the DVD that was playing that day until he goes to sleep.
My child brings out the stylus books and posters on his own, so I join in too.
Over the past few days, he has started to sing birthday songs and say English words little by little.
My younger child is listening to English in the same situation.

I think the reason I'm now able to output words is because of the accumulation of input.
However, even if you start to output English words, even if you start to output them in English sentences,There is no time when you don't need to input.
When you stop inputting, the potential for growth in output also stops.
Output does not come after input, but rather input and output occur simultaneously.
It is only by constantly inputting and being exposed to English information that we can produce output..
Moms, please continue to input English until the time comes to stop teaching your child English at home.
If your child seems to like picture books, read them to them.
I'm rooting for you!
